In Nat’s corner

NORTH PLAINS, Ore. – Here at the Safeway Classic, I am rooting for Natalie Gulbis.
With rounds of 68 and 69, Gulbis is 7-under par after 36 holes. She is just three strokes off the pace.
One round remains.
Every LPGA player has her strength. Natalie’s strength is looking good.
Capitalizing on this, she dazzled men everywhere with her own TV show and her own calendar. She also has her own workout gear, her own fan club, the Natalie Gulbis Official International Fan Club, and her own website, NatalieGulbis.com.
Yet, in eight years on the LPGA, she has just one victory (2007 Evian Masters) and has finished among the top 10 money winners just once, in 2005.
At the Safeway, she happily addressed everything that is Natalie.
“I love it when the cameras are out there, and the fans are out there, and it’s bringing more people out to golf,” she said. “And I’ve really thrived on that. I loved having a TV show. I had my best year on tour when I had the TV show going on out there. The more excitement, the better.”
Oh, Natalie, you’re such a tease.
Now, go out and win another title.
