Stacy Lewis at Q-School . . . as caddie

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – This time last year, Stacy Lewis was winning LPGA Q-School. She’s at Q-School again this year, but not as a player.
Lewis, the ’07 NCAA individual champ at Arkansas, is caddying at PGA Tour Q-School for Nick Beach, who attended Arkansas at the same time as Lewis played men’s golf for the Razorbacks. Beach is tied for 83rd after a first-round 75 Wednesday at Bear Lakes’ Links Course.
Lewis had some free time this week because she finished 47th on the LPGA money list, good enough to retain her playing privileges.
“I wasn’t planning at being at Q-School, but at least I’m not playing,” Lewis said. “I think it’s about patience this week. ... I’m just trying to help him stay patient.”
Lewis isn’t the only accomplished player carrying a bag this week. Jerod Turner, who earned his 2010 PGA Tour card via the Nationwide Tour, is caddying for Mark Walker. Walker shot 76 at Bear Lakes’ Lakes Course and is tied for 105th.
