BETHLEHEM, Pa. – I am in Pennsylvania finally. I left yesterday from Sacramento at 8:30 a.m. and arrived in Philadelphia at 6:00 p.m. From Philly, we took a tiny air plane over to Allentown. I have never been in a plane so small. I am super afraid of flying so it was quite an experience. Once we got off the plane, I saw a woman holding up a sign with my name on it. She took me to a shuttle and we drove to the course where I picked up my brand new Lexus courtesy car. I can’t explain how excited and privileged I felt when I saw the course. It’s awesome! We then went back to our hotel and checked in. My older sister Madeleine, her boyfriend Matt and I dropped off our bags and decided to go back into Philadelphia to watch the fireworks over the Ben Franklin Bridge. It was amazing. Today is registration day and I am going out to practice at 3. Talk to you tomorrow!

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – First night was awesome but I think I have jet lag. I finally got to meet and spend time with the family last night. They are very thoughtful and cheerful all the time! Today I am going to head out to the course to do my player registration and practice. I don’t have a practice round today but I am planning on hitting balls on the range and putting on the greens. I had a chance to putt on them yesterday and they are SO pure and quick. Mr. Warner (my host family) had a major part in this. He was in charge of the renovations of this course and he has done a spectacular job. I am very excited to get on the course tomorrow and I will be playing with my teammate Chelsea Stelzmiller! See Ya!

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Just arrived here at the Warner family’s home. It is such a nice area and very pretty. This is more than perfect. Mr. Warner was so welcoming and I can’t wait to meet the rest of the family. They have two kids, Grace and Drew, who are 9 and 11. I have my own room, bathroom and a nice courtesy car all to myself! This is unbelievable, and I bet there is more to come. Today I’m planning to rest and scope out the country club, and tomorrow is the beginning of my journey on the golf course. Later in the evening, I will be joining my host family for a picnic and fireworks. Fun!

DAVIS, Calif. – Today was a very busy day. I woke up around 8, and drove to Benicia to get my hair cut. Then, I drove back to Davis and had a quick lunch before getting back on the road to my golf lesson in Folsom. I arrived in Folsom early for my lesson in hopes that I could home faster to finish packing, but that didn’t happen. I ended up leaving the course at 8:00 p.m. and got back to Davis at 9:00 p.m. Since then, I have been doing some last-minute laundry and packing. Packing for a month on the road is not very easy. I have to pack for the Open, the North & South Am, the Transnational Am, and the U.S. Am. Basically my room is a complete disaster. It has finally hit me that I am going to the U.S. Open and I am getting more and more excited as each day ends. I am going to bed, I have an 8 a.m. flight to Pennsylvania tomorrow!

DAVIS, Calif. – I am very excited to be going on this trip to Pennsylvania to play in the U.S. Open. I think this will be a great experience for my golfing career. I just got done packing and about to leave for the airport four hours ahead of departure! Its a red eye flight and I’m pretty sure I will get jet lag. I wish my parents could come with me to see and experience this prestigious tournament for themselves. It’s okay though because next year they will come with me.

DAVIS, Calif. – It’s crunch time! Six days until the big day. Today I played at Dark Horse Golf Course, in Auburn, Calif. It was tough to get up at 6:00 a.m., but luckily my teammate Bryana agreed to join. Fortunately the weather was nice. Lately it has been in the 100s! We teed off at 8 and had lunch at In-N-Out afterwards. It was nice to play at a challenging course. I know that the Open will provide a brutal layout. So far I am feeling pretty good about my game. I feel like I am doing a lot to prepare myself for next week so hopefully it pays off! I am back in Davis now starting to pack. I am leaving Saturday and still have a lot to do. Well, I’m off to dinner with my roommates! Talk to you tomorrow!
