JEFF BABINEAU

Best Bet: Geoff Ogilvy

Ready to start rounding into better form now that the U.S. Open is getting closer on the horizon.

Ace Up My Sleeve: Matt Kuchar

Knows Muirfield well, and quietly has been playing very solidly since The Players. Mixed in a couple of good rounds in Texas to qualify for the British Open as well.

Last Week's Best Bet: Tim Clark (T-2)

Last Week's Ace: Stephen Ames (T-27)

Standing: 1st

JIM MCCABE

Best Bet: Jim Furyk

It's happened before that I pick a guy to win (as I did with Furyk at Colonial last week), he doesn't, then he prevails the following tournament. We'll be proactive against that possibility and go with Furyk again. Besides, the last time a U.S. Open was held at Bethpage Black, Furyk won the Memorial a few weeks before.

Ace Up My Sleeve: Stewart Cink

He's due to play really well, isn't he?

Last Week's Best Bet: Jim Furyk (T-9)

Last Week's Ace: Brian Davis (T-34)

Standing: 2nd

SEAN MARTIN

Best Bet: Tiger Woods

In case you’ve been saving Tiger Woods because your league puts a cap on the number times you can use a player, it’s time to get the big guy off the pine. Woods has a great record at Memorial. He won the event in 1999-2001 and has finished T-15, T-3, 3, T-4 in his past four starts at Jack’s Place.

Ace Up My Sleeve: Ben Curtis

The former British Open champ finished in the top 10 the past two weeks on the European Tour. Now he’s back in his native state, Ohio, where he finished T-8 in ‘04. He’s made the cut in four of his past five Memorial starts.

Last Week's Best Bet: Paul Casey (5)

Last Week's Ace: Brian Davis (T-34)

Standing: 3rd

ERIC SODERSTROM

Best Bet: Jim Furyk

Tied for 11th, T-5 and T-9 his last three starts. That’s why.

Ace Up My Sleeve: Vijay Singh

Again, what can you say? He’s back. Tied for 9th at Players, T-16 at the Nelson and a T-6 last week at Colonial. (This is also a defensive move, considering I’m sure many of my opponents will do the same thing.)

Last Week's Best Bet: Geoff Ogilvy (T-59)

Last Week's Ace: Rory Sabbatini (T-34)

Standing: 5th

LANCE RINGLER

Best Bet: Jim Furyk

Furyk has placed in the top 11 in his last five starts and has never missed a cut at the Memorial Tournament. He has also climbed to No. 3 in the Performance Index and is a solid play this week.

Ace Up My Sleeve: Vijay Singh

Vijay might be on the way back to the form we are used to seeing. In his last three starts Singh has placed in the top 20 and his past record at the Memorial suggests (five top 10s in 12 starts) that Singh may be a good play this week.

Last Week's Best Bet: Kenny Perry (T-34)

Last Week's Ace: Rory Sabbatini (T-34)

Standing: 6th

JEFF RUDE

Best Bet: Tiger Woods

You have to ask why?

Ace Up My Sleeve: Vijay Singh

Coming alive again after knee problem. Just needs putter to click.

Last Week's Best Bet: Paul Casey (5)

Last Week's Ace: Brian Davis (T-34)

Standing: 7th

ALEX MICELI

Best Bet: Kenny Perry

Ace Up My Sleeve: Vijay Singh

Last Week's Best Bet: Zach Johnson (T-9)

Last Week's Ace: Brian Davis (T-34)

Standing: 4th

Golfweek.com’s Fantasy Aces are better than ever. We’ve made some changes for 2009 to make the Aces even more useful.

More experts: Golfweek editor Jeff Babineau, senior writers Jim McCabe, Jeff Rude and Alex Miceli have been added to the mix.

More picks: You won’t see the same names here every week. Each of the seven Aces can only pick a player seven times throughout the year.

More at stake: We’ll keep track of how much money each Aces’ picks make, and update the standings each week so you know who to listen to.
