JEFF BABINEAU

Best Bet: Tiger Woods

Longer than most and mentally tougher than all. Also, an astrologist tells me it’s going to be his month. Then again, when you’re Tiger Woods, so is every month.

Ace Up My Sleeve: Stewart Cink

World-class player who plays very well at the U.S. Open and is no stranger to teeing it up late on the weekends at his national championship. Also, ranks in the top 50 on Tour in driving distance, and you’re going to have to hit the big stick with a little authority at this ballpark.

Last Week's Best Bet: David Toms (T-2)

Last Week's Ace: Fredrik Jacobson (T-39)

Standing: 1st

JIM MCCABE

Best Bet: Tiger Woods

Not only will it be his 15th major championship and not only will he become the first player in 20 years to successfully defend his U.S. Open title, but Woods will also solidify his chances to be comeback player of the year. After all, just a few weeks ago pundits suggested he was all done.

Ace Up My Sleeve: Ryuji Imada

OK, so a good gust of wind seemingly could blow him away, but consider me intrigued that he’s finished inside the top 20 in three of the last four U.S. Opens.

Last Week's Best Bet: Justin Leonard (MC)

Last Week's Ace: John Senden (T-4)

Standing: 2nd

SEAN MARTIN

Best Bet: Tiger Woods

This is one of the easiest decisions I’ve made in my life.

Ace Up My Sleeve: Michael Sim

Yes, he’s on the Nationwide Tour, but he’s also one of the hottest players in golf. Sim, No. 52 in the Golfweek/Sagarin Performance, has two victories this year, and leads the money list by more than $100,000. He has five top-four finishes in eight starts this year (two victories, a playoff loss, a third and T-4).

Sim’s stats are equally impressive – he’s first on the Nationwide Tour in total driving and putting average, fourth in driving accuracy and fifth in greens in regulation. Those seem to make him a good pick for this week, even if it is his first major.

Last Week's Best Bet: David Toms (T-2)

Last Week's Ace: Jason Day (T-23)

Standing: 3rd

ERIC SODERSTROM

Best Bet: Tiger Woods

Not Picking Tiger Woods To Win This Major Is An Extremely Difficult Decision Which I Recommend Only For Highly Skilled Fantasy Golfers.

Ace Up My Sleeve: John Merrick

T-6 at this year’s Masters and last year’s U.S. Open, he’s at least been in position before, and can hit the ball a long way (15th in driving distance), a good advantage at Bethpage.

Last Week's Best Bet: Henrik Stenson (MC)

Last Week's Ace: Dustin Johnson (DNS)

Standing: 4th

LANCE RINGLER

Best Bet: Tiger Woods

Considering how well Tiger Woods hit the driver at Memorial, he is an easy pick this week. Playing from the fairway might make him invincible – especially in a U.S. Open setup.

Ace Up My Sleeve: Angel Cabrera

Angel Cabrera is your guy. No matter the circumstance, his name seems to get lost in the shuffle heading into the majors. Afterall, he did win the first major of the year and has won a U.S. Open before.

Last Week's Best Bet: Robert Allenby (T-4)

Last Week's Ace: Michael Letzig (T-23)

Standing: 6th

JEFF RUDE

Best Bet: Tiger Woods

Do you really have to ask why?

Ace Up My Sleeve: Stewart Cink

He’s long enough and has fared well in past Opens (seven top-16s since 1996, including three top-10s).

Last Week's Best Bet: Justin Leonard (MC)

Last Week's Ace: Matt Kuchar (DNS)

Standing: 7th

ALEX MICELI

Best Bet: TBD

Ace Up My Sleeve: TBD

Last Week's Best Bet: Padraig Harrington (MC)

Last Week's Ace: David Duval (MC)

Standing: 5th

Golfweek.com’s Fantasy Aces are better than ever. We’ve made some changes for 2009 to make the Aces even more useful.

More experts: Golfweek editor Jeff Babineau, senior writers Jim McCabe, Jeff Rude and Alex Miceli have been added to the mix.

More picks: You won’t see the same names here every week. Each of the seven Aces can only pick a player seven times throughout the year.

More at stake: We’ll keep track of how much money each Aces’ picks make, and update the standings each week so you know who to listen to.
