Leaders starting to unravel
Monday, June 22, 2009
FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – Lucas Glover and Ricky Barnes are doing what many thought they would – struggle in the final-round limelight at the U.S. Open. Both have made two bogeys since play started Monday, and are tied for the lead at 5 under.
Neither Mickelson, Woods or Duval have been able to make a move, though. Mickelson has made bogeys on Nos. 6 and 7 to fall back to even par, and remain five off the lead. Woods is 1 over Monday, and six back. Duval started Monday’s play with a triple bogey, and is tied with Woods at 1 over for the tournament.
