Cyr wins second NAIA title

Point Loma Nazarene senior Sam Cyr fired a final-round 71 to finish as the only player under par and lock up his second consecutive individual title at the NAIA Men’s National Championships at TPC at Deere Run.

Cyr finished 2 under par for the four-round event after shooting a tournament-best 67 on Thursday.

Senior Fernando Gonzales finished sixth at 7 over par to lead Oklahoma Christian to the team title. The Eagles were 45 over par to hold off Texas Wesleyan by four shots and British Columbia by 10.
