Stat breakdown at Honda

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – How’s this for a few stats?

John Rollins is the only player in the final three groups at the Honda Classic with PGA Tour victory. The other five players (Y.E. Yang, Jeff Klauk, Jeff Overton, Charlie Wi and Brett Quigley) have a combined 563 Tour starts without a victory.

So far in 72-hole events in 2009, all five third-round leaders have gone on to win. That bodes well for leader Y.E. Yang. Remember he was the guy who took down Tiger Woods at the 2006 HSBC Champions in Shanghai.

Keep an eye on Mark Calcavecchia, too, even though he’s three shots back. Calc won here in 1987 and ’98, and was tied for the lead here last year in the final round.
