Doggone it, Butch!

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – I’ve always thought Jose Maria Olazabal has a sneaky sense of humor. The wry smile hints at it. And Butch Harmon, his coach for several years, confirmed it today before the World Golf Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
Harmon’s wife, Christy, couldn’t make the trip to the golf shrine because one of the family’s dogs was undergoing an operation. So at the Hall’s Night of the Legends dinner Sunday night, Olazabal called Christy in Las Vegas and needled.
“Christy,” Ollie cracked, “I can’t believe you’re not here. I can’t believe your dog is more important than me!”
