Player of the Week: Michael Werenski
Michael Werenski, of South Hadley, Mass., shot an even-par 140 (72-68) at the Saddlebrook Resort in Wesley Chapel, Fla., to win the International Junior Golf Tour event by five shots.
The win was Werenski’s third in the three IJGT events he's played this fall. His final-round 68 tied his low round in an IJGT event, which he shot Oct. 4 at the IJGT event at Oyster Reef Golf Club in Hilton Head Island, S.C. Werenski's career-low round was a 65 at the AJGA's CorseMax/Philadelphia Runner Junior in August. The 15-year-old also finished T-2 at the GolfweekJunior Series event at Pine Needles Oct. 25.
