Watch the watches

Every morning during a tournament, the first thing we scan from our favorite golfers is the look for the day. It fuels us fashionistas. There’s a lot of truth to the adage: “If you look good, you play good.”
Now, accessories are a part of the wardrobe magic, although most times they get overlooked. I’m not talking about the Natalie Gulbis earrings or the Michelle Wie shades – those get noticed. But we always seem to neglect watches.
A watch is the most elegant accessory of all. How could we forget them? Our favorite players sport them on a daily basis.
Phil Mickelson made an interesting watch change at the U.S. Open this year. On the course, he prefered a sporty timepiece. Yet when he left the scoring tent, there was something completely different on his wrist. Mickelson had changed his timepiece. Rolex keeps Lefty – and several other players – well stocked to have a watch options during and after a round.
So here’s today’s fashion hint: Keep your eyes on players’ wrists. You might be surprised by the effort that goes into adding the right touch to their wardrobe.
