Looks from the other side of the world

HSBC and Shanghai really know how to throw a golf tournament! Not only did they gather the world’s best players, but they gave us with quite a bit to talk about on the fashion front.
Is there a new curse?
The Phil Mickelson “white belts” curse is dead. After we suggested that maybe Phil was wearing a cursed white belt that seemed to give him a streak of bad luck, the belt is now gone and so is Mickelson’s bad luck.
However, we may have found a new cursed article of clothing – the famous Tiger Woods red shirt.
I know, Tiger played well in Shanghai. But he never likes to lose to you-know-who. So, here’s hoping it was just an unfortunate coincidence that both Woods and Jyoti Randhawa shot 72 in the final round, had similar shots (image below) and, of course, matching outfits. Yikes!
Look at me
Is this a new Japanese style or is Ryo Ishikawa simply screaming for attention? Whatever the reasoning, I think he should continue the trend. Ishikawa finished 17th and tied his age!
A major independent
I know I’m always writing about Ryan Moore. Why? I’ve mentioned this fashionista and explained his situation several times. Nevertheless, it always seems to come as a shocker – Moore still doesn’t have a clothing sponsor! He says he feels comfortable with his own style.
Well, is it just me or does Moore’s style fit perfectly into Kikkor Golf? So, from one NCAA champ to another: Ryan, give James Lepp a call.
Finally, HSBC winner Phil Mickelson is this week’s fashion champ. It is so nice to see him smiling again. The Mickelson family has been through a lot this year with his wife Amy’s battle with breast cancer. Yet Phil keeps his game face and looks sharp doing it!
So, congratulations to Mickelson for rocking the pin stripes, looking fabulous, staying strong and coming out on top.
