Ishikawa a shot back at Taiheiyo Masters
GOTEMBA, Japan – Japanese teen star Ryo Ishikawa shot a 4-under 68 to finish a stroke behind the leaders after the first round of the Taiheiyo Masters.
The 18-year-old Ishikawa, a four-time winner this year on the Japan Tour, bogeyed the final hole to drop a stroke behind Kenichi Kuboya, Tomohiro Kondo and Shigeru Nonaka on the Taiheiyo Club’s Gotemba Course.
Norio Shinozaki, Taigen Tsumagari, Yuta Ikeda, Shinichi Yokota and Nobuhiro Masuda matched Ishikawa with 68s.
