Illinois notched its second win of the season, topping Northwestern by six shots Monday in the Windon Memorial at Skokie Country Club in Glencoe, Ill.

Illinois, No. 4 in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings, finished at 16-over 868, and was a combined 5 over in the final two rounds.

The Fighting Illini won the Wolf Run Invitational in September.

All five Illinois players placed in the top 30 individually, with junior Scott Langley, No. 2 in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings, tying for third at 3-over 216.

Kent State junior Brett Cairns and Coastal Carolina senior Dan Obremski tied for medalist honors at 1-over 214.

Michigan State, which held a three-shot lead after Round 1, finished fifth at 36-over 888. Kent State (876) was third and Eastern Michigan (882) was fourth.
