Like night and day for Mickelson

SAN FRANCISCO – Talk about your turn-arounds. Phil Mickelson got off to a miserable start in the foursomes format of this Presidents Cup, four bogeys and 3-over in his first nine holes Thursday alongside Anthony Kim.

But somewhere on the way to the 10th tee Thursday, Mickelson must have discovered a foursomes secret. He and Kim played those last seven holes Thursday in 4-under, then Mickelson played 15 holes in 4-under alongside Sean O’Hair in this morning’s session.

That’s 22 bogey-free holes at 8 under for a Mickelson foursomes team.
