LSU won the inaugural David Toms Intercollegiate on Tuesday, closing with a 2-over 286 to win its home event by a shot.

The Tigers, No. 37 in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings, finished at 8-under 844 at the Country Club of Louisiana in Baton Rouge, La., to edge No. 35 Kent State (284) and No. 28 North Florida (280), which finished at 7-under 845.

Two LSU players finished in the top 4 – junior John Peterson finished runner-up at 8-under 205 and junior Andrew Loupe was fourth at 6-under 207.
