Traffic jam causes headaches at TPC Boston
Tuesday, September 1, 2009
NORTON, Mass. – Standing around the practice range, waiting for their real work to start, several caddies answered phone calls within a few minutes and discovered that their work day might have gotten longer.
That’s because their guys were reporting massive traffic jams into TPC Boston for this week’s Deutsche Bank Championship. Seems a pilot operating single-engine Piper Cherokee had to do an emergency crash landing on Interstate 495 within 15 miles of the golf course.
There were two men on board, but neither was reported hurt.
The accident took place not far from where 495 intersects with Interstate 95, making the traffic headache even greater.
