Kikkor paves the way with unique online product
Monday, April 5, 2010
Kikkor.com has officially launched, and is showing off the company’s hip, young, stylish and functional golf shoes. It doesn’t matter if you are 18 or 48. If you’re young at heart these shoes were made for you. Along with comfort and style, the shoes also include the essential technical features – high-quality level of gripping, waterproof-ness, and stability and durability. The shoes come in a variety of colors, patterns and styles. You can also get a hat to match.
The Web site is more than just a place to buy shoes and hats, however. It’s seriously entertaining. Tips from “Captain Sauce,” Mr. James Lepp, include wildly amusing shots, such as “The Saucer Pass,” the “Closed Eyes bunker shot,” and the “Opposite handed recovery.”
Lepp, some might recall, won the 2005 NCAA Championship while playing golf for the Washington Huskies. He also played on the mini-tours for a few years. Frustrated with the lack of golf shoe options, Lepp decided to launch Kikkor Golf shoes. Lucky for us.
“There was such a void in the market for unique golf shoes,” Lepp explained. “The process has been exciting but slightly nerve-wracking.”
Lepp and Kikkor Golf make thinking outside of the box look easy. In addition to the video section, the Web site features blogs and fan-appreciation incentives. For every 1,000 fans that the Kikkor Facebook fan page gets, the company is offering 10 percent off.
