Monday Scramble: A Monday like no other
Welcome to The Monday Scramble. So, what do you want to talk about this morning? Yani Tseng’s second major victory? “Haney Project: Ray Romano” ratings? The predominance of scheduling conflicts in junior golf?
Or better yet: Did you know there is a species of tropical freshwater fish called Tiger Barbs?
[Off camera: Uh... is that a joke about Tiger Woods jokes?]
And awayyyyyyyy we go!

As promised, here’s a sneak preview of today’s Press Conference Like No Other (PCLNO) at Augusta National, which starts at 2 p.m. IST (Isleworth Standard Time).
How we always seem to obtain these types of things, the world may never know...

A couple other important items of note before we go buy popcorn for the Masters Matinee:
• John Daly, not Tiger Woods, was the answer to a $1,000 question this week on “Jeopardy,” though we found it to be more of the Long John Barb nature. Consider the context:
Category: “The Incredible Hulks.”
Answers to four previous questions in category: Sumo Wrestling, Andre the Giant, George Foreman and William “The Refrigerator” Perry.
The skinny (no pun intended): For the $1,000 question, the contestants were shown a current photo of Daly – the extremely-slimmer, post LAP-BAND surgery, sub-200-pound, certainly-not-Incredible-Hulky JD.
What is ... a running joke?
Fortunately, Daly took the high road in his responding Tweet: “Jeopardy Really?! This big swinger has gained a reputation on & off the course--showed my pic & the guy answered it right! Grip It & Rip It!”
• Ever since Tiger announced he would be returning to competitive golf at the Masters, it’s been difficult to for us to admit that he actually might have a chance of winning this thing.
Like many of you, we thought he needed a warm-up event or two.
But then Sunday happened: Tiger’s niece, Cheyenne Woods, won her first-ever college event for Wake Forest; and Nike staffer Anthony Kim - the whippersnapper who has been dubbed “The Next Tiger” more times than any other up-and-comer over the last few years – won in a playoff in Houston.
Accordingly, we’ve got all our chips on Sunday Red.
Enjoy the week!
