OneAsia to broadcast on ESPN3.com
Monday, April 5, 2010
OneAsia, a pro tour that serves the Asia-Pacific region, announced that its 2010 events will be broadcast live on ESPN’s broadband sports network.
Online coverage of 10 of the tour’s 11 events will be available across the U.S. as well as in Central, Latin and South America. The broadband network recently renamed ESPN3.com – it was ESPN360.com – reaches more than 50 million households domestically and 2 million across the Americas.
Ben Sellenger, OneAsia’s chief executive, said the partnership – announced March 31 – will elevate the tour’s profile “by reaching out to golf fans internationally and showcasing the talent we have here in Asia.”
Since the tour was launched last year, OneAsia has more than doubled its tournament schedule. The total purse for 2010 is $13 million.
