Wie to join elite field at Mobile LPGA
MOBILE, Ala. – The Mobile LPGA tournament is scheduled to include the top 10-ranked players.
Tournament officials said Monday that Michelle Wie has agreed to compete in the Bell Micro LPGA Classic that runs May 13-16. It will be the first time for Wie to compete in the event.
One of the tour’s more popular players, she is ranked ninth in the world. She tied for second in last year’s Navistar LPGA Classic in Prattville, another tournament on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail.
Top-ranked Lorena Ochoa is also scheduled to compete in Mobile.
