Pepperdine wins WCC title by 32 shots

Pepperdine placed all five of its players in the top 7 Tuesday as the Waves rolled to their ninth consecutive West Coast Conference title.
Pepperdine, No. 9 in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings, shot 18-over 306 in the final round at Hiddenbrooke Golf Course in Vallejo, Calif., and finished at 42-over 906. No. 41 San Francisco (311) was second at 938 and No. 116 Santa Clara (319) was third.
Waves sophomore Lisa McCloskey won medalist honors with rounds of 77-74-74 to finish at 9-over 225, two strokes clear of freshman teammate Danielle Kang.
The Waves led by 13 strokes after the opening round and 27 strokes after the second round.
Second-round leader Danielle Cvitanov of San Francisco closed with a 9-over 81 to slip to fourth.
