Two Georgia Bulldogs – Russell Henley and Harris English – will compete next week in the Nationwide Tour’s Stadion Athens Classic at UGA. The event will be held April 29-May 2 at the University of Georgia Golf Course.

The event, which moved to the University of Georgia Golf Course this year, awarded sponsor exemptions to the Georgia players with the two lowest stroke averages.

Henley and English are both coming off recent victories. Henley, No. 1 in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings, won the SEC Championship on April 18 in a playoff over South Carolina’s George Bryan IV.

English, ranked sixth, scored a five-shot victory at the Morris Williams Intercollegiate on April 6.

Georgia, which has moved up to No. 12 in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings, won the team title in both events.

Daniel Summerhays is the only amateur to win on the Nationwide Tour. He captured the 2007 Nationwide Children’s Hospital Invitational at Ohio State’s Scarlet Course.
