Jackson State wins SWAC title

Jackson State cruised to a 45-stroke victory at the SWAC Championships at Links on the Bayou in Alexandria, La.
The Tigers placed all five players on the all-conference teams in winning the title with a two-day total of 632. Alabama State finished second at 677.
Jackson State’s Jennifer Sells claimed medalist honors at 3-over 147 to win by four shots over Alabama State’s Aileen Meredith.
Jackson State earned the SWAC’s automatic qualifying spot into NCAA regional play on May 6-8.
