David Hearn extended his lead Friday at the South Georgia Classic, shooting a 3-under 69 to take a two-stroke lead into the weekend.

Hearn made 10 consecutive pars before birdieing four of his last eight holes at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta, Ga. He finished at 11-under 133, two shots ahead of Jason Kokrak (67). Tag Ridings (69) and Michael Putnam (68) are tied for fourth at 7 under, and Ewan Porter (71) and Jhonattan Vegas (66) are another shot back.

Hearn, 30, was in position to win last week at the Fresh Express Classic, before ex-UCLA star Kevin Chappell fired a final-round 65 to win by a shot.

Bobby Gates, the tour’s money leader through six events, is at 1-under 143.
