Scores
Matt Davidson jumped to an early one-shot lead Thursday at the Wichita Open, shooting 8-under 63 at Crestview Country Club in Wichita, Kan.
Davidson, a 2004 Furman graduate, has one top 10 on the year and has made the cut in four of five Nationwide events played. He had a bogey-free card in Round 1, which allowed him to take a slight lead on Dan Buchner, Scott Gutchewski, Steven Bowditch and Roberto Castro, who all turned in 64.
Four more players were tied for sixth another shot back.
