Jo Ee Kok of Singapore has verbally committed to California for the fall of 2011.

Kok, the top-ranked girl in Singapore and a member of the national team, also considered Pepperdine, Portland State, Kennesaw State, Wichita State, Virginia and UCLA, but chose Cal because she thinks the campus and training facilities are the best fit for her.

“I am very comfortable with the two coaches, and I believe that Cal is the place for me (to) achieve my academic and golfing aspirations,” Kok said in an e-mail.

Kok won the Singapore Junior Golf Championship and the HSBC Youth Golf Challenge this summer.
