Paveenuch Sritragul has decided to play college golf at Michigan State.
Sritagul, who turns 17 on Sept. 5, is a senior at Bromsgrove International School in Bangkok. She gave Michigan State a verbal commitment after receiving offers from Ohio State, SMU, Iowa State, Minnesota, Missouri, Texas Tech, Chattanooga, Coastal Carolina and Nova Southeastern. She made unofficial visits to Minnesota and Denver.
“I chose Michigan State University because I love the coaches and the campus. The golf program is great, people are welcoming and they have a competitive schedule,” Sritragul said.
Sritragul won the AJGA Randy Wise Open on Aug. 5, and advanced to match play at the U.S. Girls’ Junior and lost in the Round of 64. She also tied for 14th at the Callaway World Junior Championship and placed eighth at the Optimist International Junior Golf Championship.
She has not participated in the minimum number of events to be ranked by Golfweek.
