Wes Gosselin (No. 86, 2012) commits to Chattanooga
Monday, January 3, 2011
Wes Gosselin has given a verbal commitment to play golf at Chattanooga. Gosselin, who is ranked No. 87 in the 2012 class and No. 6 overall in the state of Tennessee, also made unofficial visits to Charlotte, Vanderbilt, Auburn, Wake Forest and Tennessee before deciding on the Mocs.
"There are many things that attracted me to Chattanooga, but none more than Coach Mark Guhne," Gosselin said. "Coach Guhne is a coach that I respect and trust, and I believe he will help me develop as a player and person. Chattanooga also has a new practice facility that is state-of-the-art, and they play some spectacular golf courses. The players and team chemistry are great, and I believe I will fit in well with the team."
Gosselin, who lives in Knoxville and attends Hardin Valley Academy, twice shot 66 in AJGA tournaments this past summer and recorded a pair of top 10s in those same AJGA events. Gosselin also participated in the 2010 U.S. Junior.
