A vested interest on the PGA Tour
Luke Donald was one of several players to sport a cashmere vest during the first round of the Northern Trust Open.
At last! Our grandfather’s vests are making their way back to the top of the fashion style list this season.
I guess when there is a California winter chill in the air, what better way to warm up than that cashmere vest that has been hanging in your closet longing to make its way onto the links. The only difference between the vests that our grandfathers wore on the fairways back in the 1960s and the ones we are seeing today are the slim trimmings and vibrant colors.
But don’t worry – we are never going to lose the cashmere.
Round 1 vesties at the Northern Trust Open included a very stylish clan that included Rocco Mediate, Webb Simpson, Luke Donald and Ricky Barnes.
According to our records, the vests also contributed to a heck of a lot of game, especially with Barnes and Donald both near the top of the leaderboard.
There must be some kind of mojo in these vests, so keep ’em coming…
