Golfweek introduces two new tournaments
Last fall, Golfweek introduced to Division I golf its men’s and women’s Golfweek Conference Challenges. In February, the Golfweek Spring Invitational – a Division II event – will take place at Reunion Resort in Orlando, Fla. And next September, the Golfweek Fall Invitational will be held at Southern Dunes Golf & Country Club in Haines City, Fla. The event will feature some of the very best programs in Division III men’s golf.
The field includes seven of the top 10 teams in the current Division III Golfstat head-to-head rankings, and the entire 18-team field is ranked within the top 30.
Golfweek Fall Invitational field (and Golfstat ranking): Methodist (1), Huntingdon (3), Skidmore (4), Oglethorpe (5), Emory (6), Greensboro (7), St. John’s (8), Rhodes (12), Southwestern (13), Transylvania (14), Texas Tyler (15), Wittenberg (18), Trinity TX (19), Illinois Wesleyan (21), Wisc Stout (23), Nebraska Wesleyan (28), Ohio Wesleyan (30) and Concordia College (31).
The tournament will take place Sept. 12–14 with 18 holes being played each day.
