Player of the Week: Mike Moorhead
Mike Moorhead, of Newport Beach, Calif., shot 3-over 147 (73-74) at Oak Valley Golf Club in Beaumont, Calif., to win the Toyota Tour Cup Championship by one shot.
Moorhead, 16, had a two-shot lead after the first round, then held off an early charge in Round 2 by Brian Campbell. Moorhead played his last five holes in 1 under to seal the victory, his sixth win on the Southern California PGA Junior Tour since 2007.
