Schniederjans (No. 5, 2011) commits to Georgia Tech

Oliver Schniederjans won the Polo Junior Golf Classic in November.

Oliver Schniederjans, the 2009 Polo Golf Junior Invitational winner, told Golfweek that he has committed to Georgia Tech.

Schniederjans is No. 5 in the Golfweek Junior Rankings for the class of 2011.

Schniederjans had two other top-5 finishes in AJGA invitationals in 2009 besides his win at the Polo Junior. He was named the Georgia State Golf Association Junior Player of the Year after winning the Georgia Junior, Georgia PGA Junior and Georgia Public Links over the summer.

Georgia Tech has been Schniederjans’ No. 1 choice for college since he began looking at schools as a freshman.

“What they represent is what I wanted to pursue,” he said.
