Must-visit booths at the PGA Merchandise show
The annual PGA Merchandise show in Orlando is just weeks away (Jan. 28-30) and I’m already counting down the days. To help you make the best use of your time, I’ve get some insider tips on five “underground” names that are a must see.
Here are my choices on the places to stop and where to find them at this year’s show:
Johnnie-O
Say goodbye to tradition and hello to West Coast style, marked by the famous “wedge” collar and funky surfer logo. I’ll be sure to make another stop at the famous Johnnie-O reggae-bopping tiki hut for some fun and fresh outfits for 2010.
Booth # 5391
Bugatchi Uomo
This luxury Italian brand does not get the credit it deserves here in the United States. Not too many people even know that Rocco Mediate wears it. Made of the highest quality fabrics and fitted just right to suit any golfer’s needs. I also cannot forget the cool and highly noticeable booth they have at the show. Go check out the video on their Web site.
Booth # 6287
Catwalk Performance Artwear
If you feel like meeting a few friendly Canadian faces while checking out some pretty cool gear, then you must make a stop at the CPA booth. These two female golf enthusiasts launched their line just a few years ago and have had instant success with their ultra-flattering shirts and perfectly fitted pants.
Booth #4483
Walter Genuin
OK, Walter Genuin may not be an underground name but it is my favorite booth to visit. They have almost every shoe that they have ever created on display--truly a shoe fantasy! This year I just hope they decide to bring more of their clothing.
Booth #4743
The Littlest Golfer
This is a must-check booth for the little ones in your life. This is one of only a few companies that caters to this category and they do it in style. A source whispered that they might be holding a little radio show in the booth. You’ll have to stop by to find out.
