Not everyone on tour is living large
Spend some time with the newer faces on the PGA Tour, guys who’ve come up through the mini-tours, and you get a true sense of the business landscape.
Despite what people might think, not every player out there is hauling in big money-deals with equipment manufacturers.
Jerod Turner is one example.
The PGA Tour rookie confirmed he has a “ball, bag, hat, glove” deal with Srixon, but after that he’s pretty much got a rainbow of golf clubs.
Turner went through his bag while standing on the range at the Sony Open, pointing to his two Cleveland wedges and to his TaylorMade driver, 3-wood, and 2-hybrid. His 3-hybrid is an Adams, his 4, 5, and 6 irons Callaway. The shorter irons – 7, 8, 9, and wedge – are TaylorMade and his putter is an Odyssey.
“I make all the equipment companies happy,” Turner said with a smile.

For Woods, it never hurts to keep quiet
