Chappell opens 3-shot lead at Gretzky Classic
Kevin Chappell keeps rolling at a record-setting pace in the Ford Wayne Gretzky Classic.
The former UCLA star shot an 8-under 63 Friday at The Georgian Bay Club in Clarksburg, Ontario, to take a three-shot lead over Keegan Bradley.
Chappell, who won earlier this year at the Fresh Express Classic and is No. 3 on the Nationwide Tour money list, has yet to record a bogey during two rounds. He has the lead over Bradley, who shot 10-under 61. Chappell shot 61 in the opening round.
David Branshaw (64) is six shots back, and Justin Hicks (68), James Hahn (69) and Bobby Gates (67) are another stroke behind.
