OAKMONT, Pa. – Michelle Wie classified her experience at Oakmont as “a complete fail.” The Stanford senior missed the cut at the U.S. Women’s Open for a second consecutive year with rounds of 82-76 for a 16 over finish. She carded five double bogeys and only three birdies.
“I’m just going to do what I can to get over it,” Wie said. “Unfortunately, nothing really worked out.”
Wie hit 13 fairways and 18 greens in two rounds. She had 69 putts.
