Todd White, 42, outlasted Paul Woodbury and Riley Pumphrey in a five-hole playoff on Saturday to win the Palmetto Amateur at Palmetto Golf Club in Aiken, S.C.

All three competitors finished at even-par 280.

White, a history teacher from Moore, S.C., birdied his final two holes to get in the playoff between Pumphrey (65) and Woodbury (67).

White is a former All-American at Furman and the recent winner of the South Carolina Match Play Championship.

Tim Jackson, a two-time Walker Cupper who made a run at last year’s U.S. Senior Open, finished T-15 at 286 after a final-round 7-over 77.
