Jacobsen withdraws from Senior Open

SAMMAMISH, Wash. – Former U.S. Senior Open champion Peter Jacobsen, raised in Portland, Ore., and a favorite son of the Pacific Northwest, withdrew Friday from the 2010 U.S. Senior Open with a left leg injury.

Jacobsen, who shot a 4-over-par 74 in the opening round, was 7-over for 9 holes Friday (11-over for the tournament) when he called it quits.
