Blue Mound to host 2010 Western Junior
Wednesday, June 2, 2010
The 93rd Western Junior will be held June 22-25 at Blue Mound Golf and Country Club in Wauwatosa, Wis., marking the championship’s first visit to Wisconsin since 1993.
Patrick Rodgers, J.D. Tomlinson, Matt Ceravolo and Wyndham Clark are among the nationally-ranked players expected to compete in the Western Junior, the oldest junior tournament in the country. The event typically draws the top junior players from more than 40 states and internationally, and has been a testing ground for players such as Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Rickie Fowler.
Blue Mound, designed by Seth Raynor, has previously played host to the Western Open and the 1933 PGA Championship.
