MIDWAY, Utah – The U.S. Amateur Public Links golf championship is coming to Utah in two years.

The United States Golf Association says Utah’s Soldier Hollow Golf Course at Wasatch Mountain State Park in Midway will host the national tournament July 9-14, 2012.

Soldier Hollow opened in 2004 on the site of the biathlon and cross country skiing venues used in the 2002 Winter Olympics.

The Silver and Gold courses are located in the Heber Valley, about 50 miles east of Salt Lake City at the base of the Wasatch Mountains.

The USGA says this will be the first time Utah has hosted a USGA championship.
