Puma offers Nordqvist stylish look at Kraft
Wednesday, February 16, 2011
Anna Nordqvist is one of the young trendsetters on the LPGA. She’s been turning heads with new looks and fun patterns thanks to a partnership with Puma. I caught up Nordqvist, No. 7 in Rolex World Rankings, to find out how she hooked up with Puma, what she loves most about their products and what she’ll be sporting this week at the Kraft Nabisco Championship.
How did your relationship with Puma evolve?
When I turned pro last year I was looking for clothes to wear on the course that I would look and feel great playing in. I wanted something that would match my sporty personality. Puma had the passion I was looking for and lucky enough they thought I shared it to.
What do you like about the Puma gear?
Puma has always been one of my favorite brands. I have always favored the sporty style on and off the course. Over the years I have become a huge fan of Puma gear because I think they have an outstanding mixture of everything.
I love that Puma is different and stands out from any other brand I have seen. They think outside of the box with their stylish, edgy and colorful clothes. I think it is very important to have clothes on the course that you feel comfortable playing in and that they represent you and your personality. Puma really has it all and I feel it is the perfect match for me!
What can you tell me about Puma’s newest shoes?
Puma’s latest shoes are the Cell Fusion, Scramble and, for women, the Tee and Loop. These shoes definitely show how Puma thinks out of the box. They all use Puma’s Smart Quill technology. I started to wear Smart Quill shoes last year and I have been a huge fan ever since. The quills provide great traction when you swing. The shoes not only look cool but they’re as comfortable as wearing a pair of sneakers.
What’s the most exciting part about Puma’s 2010 collection?
What I love about the 2010 Puma collection are all the great color options they have. You’ll see fuchsias, purples and blues as well as cute patterns. I love the patterned skirts! Puma’s clothes are also so different from what a lot of players are wearing, I think they really stand out on the golf course. There are so many different combinations you can put together with the clothes and I am excited to have fun with the different mixes.
