Martin Piller came from behind to win the Stadion Athens Classic at UGA on Sunday for his first Nationwide Tour title.

Piller, 25, shot a final-round 71 at the University of Georgia Golf Course in Athens to finish at 12-under 272, one stroke ahead of third-round leader Daniel Summerhays (73).

Summerhays, who hasn’t won since 2006, bogeyed two of his last three holes, including the par-4 18th, to finish second. Gary Christian placed third after a 66 in Round 4, and Bradley Iles (73) was fourth.

Piller posted top 10s in his first two starts this season, and entered the Athens event 16th on the Nationwide Tour money list. The $99,000 first-place check will vault him inside the top 10.
