Casie Cathrea is at it again. The 14-year-old makes her second LPGA start this weekend at the Bell Micro LPGA Classic in Mobile, Ala.

Cathrea Monday-qualified into last fall’s CVS/Pharmacy LPGA Challenge, then promptly made a hole-in-one during the first round. This time, Cathrea is playing on a sponsor exemption, and is the only amateur in the field.

Though she missed the cut at her last LPGA event, Cathrea is in more familiar territory this time.

“I feel more comfortable this week,” said Cathrea, whose goal is to first qualify for the weekend and then concentrate on finishing in the top 10.

Cathrea will play with Mina Harigae and Beth Bader in Round 1.

“The tournament looks like it’s going to be really fun,” Cathrea said earlier in the week after getting a look at the course.

Cathrea has been on a roll so far in 2010, and hasn’t been beaten yet in six events so far this year. She’s also switched schools, from a public high school in her hometown of Livermore, Calif., to the Venture School, an independent study school in San Ramon, Calif.

Where will Cathrea turn up next? She hopes to qualify for the U.S. Women’s Open this summer, and will play in the Canadian Women’s Amateur at the end of July.
