Prince (No. 51, 2011) commits to Ohio State

Kendall Prince, who gave a verbal commitment to Oregon earlier this year, now has committed to Ohio State. Prince, of Lake Oswego, Ore., informed Oregon of her decision right after the Oregon State High School Championship, where she finished second May 18 in the 6A division.
“This was a very difficult decision for me since I love Coach Ria (Quaizon) and Oregon, but in the long run I feel I will grow as a player and person by having the opportunity and life experience to play outside of my state,” Prince said in an e-mail.
Prince said she thinks Ohio State coach Therese Hession will help take her game to the next level, and that she was impressed by the campus and golf facilities at Ohio State.
Prince, No. 51 in Golfweek’s rankings for the class of 2011, has won two FCWT events in the past two months.
