LPGA ShopRite to be played in early June ’11
GALLOWAY, N.J. – The LPGA ShopRite Classic will be played the first weekend in June next year.
Tournament executive director Tim Erensen announced on Thursday the $1.5 million event will be played at the Bay Course at Seaview in Galloway June 3-5.
The scheduling of next year’s event is two weeks earlier than this past year. Ai Miyazato of Japan won this year’s ShopRite Classic, which returned to the LPGA schedule last year after folding in 2006.
The tournament is played just miles from the casinos in Atlantic City.
