Doris Chen, of Bradenton, Fla., won three points for the U.S. at the Junior Ryder Cup, played at The Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire, Scotland. The U.S. retained the Cup, beating Europe 13 1/2-10 1/2.

Chen, the reigning U.S. Girls’ Junior champion, teamed with Ginger Howard in foursomes to beat Manon Gidali and Manon Molle, 1 up, before partnering with reigning U.S. Junior Amateur champion Jim Liu to beat Kristoffer Ventura and Isabella Deilert, 2 and 1, in mixed four-balls. Chen, 17, was the only girl on the U.S. team to also win her singles match, beating Klara Spilkova, 1 up.
