The University of Minnesota and Director of Golf John Harris named John Carlson and Katie Brenny as associate head coaches for the men’s and women’s program, respectively, on Thursday.
“The University of Minnesota is very excited to have John, Katie and Ernie as a part of the Golden Gopher golf program,” said Harris. “All three bring a wealth of knowledge, experience and dedication to our program and I know the players will benefit from their expertise.”
Carlson, a native of Bagley, Minn., comes to the University of Minnesota after a three-year stint as an assistant golf professional at Wayzata Country Club in Wayzata, Minn., while Brenny, a native of Little Falls, Minn., currently plays professionally on the Duramed Futures Tour and the Women’s Canadian Tour while also providing fitness columns for Florida Golf Central Magazine.
Minnesota also announced Thursday that Ernie Rose would be the golf program’s Director of Instruction.
