Plenty of followers behind Tiger, Phil at BMW

LEMONT, Ill. – Tiger Woods stood on the right side of the first tee and Phil Mickelson on the left as they waited to be introduced for the 10:56 starting time in the BMW Championship fourth round. The silence was broken when the tee announcer started with introductions of the two honorary walking observers in the twosome.
“In this corner ...” the announcer said when naming the first observer. “And in this corner ...” he said when mentioning the second.
The boxing terminology wasn’t lost on Woods, among others. As he teed up his ball, he flashed a big smile in the direction of Mickelson’s caddie, Jim “Bones” Mackay and said, “In this corner.”
Given that the two golfers began the day eight strokes off the lead, this was more of an undercard than heavyweight main event. But you’d never know it by their massive gallery.
