Team of the week: UCLA
In a battle for the top spot in college golf, the Bruins came out on top at the Ping/ASU Invitational. UCLA broke a 36-hole tie with cross-town rival USC to finish as the lone team in red figures at 1-under 863, four shots clear of the Trojans. The victory vaulted the Bruins into the No. 1 spot in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings, replacing USC. The victory is UCLA’s fourth win in eight starts this year.
